What Are the Goethe Exams?
The Goethe Exams are official German language tests offered by the Goethe-Institut, the
cultural institute of Germany. These exams are recognized worldwide and show how well
someone can understand and use the German language in real life.

How Are the Exams Structured?
The exams are divided into six levels, from beginner to expert. These levels follow something called the CEFR – the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
